Strawberry Cobbler
This vegan french toast recipe is the perfect way to start or end your day. Containing all the main food groups, bread, fruit and of course topped with a big scoop of our Salted Caramel with Crunchy Toffee Pieces.

INGREDIENTS:

FRENCH TOAST

  • 1/3 cup of non-dairy milk
  • 1tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • dash of vanilla extract
  • dash of oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

CARAMELISED BANANAS

  • 1 halved banana
  • 2 tbsp vegan brown sugar
  • dash of oil
METHOD:

FRENCH TOAST

  1. Add no-dairy milk, maple syrup, plain flour, vanilla, oil and cinnamon to a bowl and mix together.

2. Heat a fry pan over medium heat and add the oil.

3. Once the pan is hot add the brown sugar and banana halves. Continue to fry until golden.

4. Dip the slices of bread in the french toast batter and leave to soak for 2 seconds on each side. Add to the pan.

5. Continue to fry for 4-6 minutes and flip to cook the other side. Fry until the french toast is golden on bother sides and the bananas have caramelised.

6. Remove from pan and serve with a scoop of gelati.
