Premium gelati and ice cream maker, Gelista, has just announced the launch of a new and indulgent flavour ahead of Christmas and the 2018/19 summer holiday season.
Gelista announced today that Peanut Butter with Chocolate Swirl is now available as part of the Gelista 570ml consumer jar family. This extravagant flavour has broad appeal for young and older customers alike. Needless to say, it contains real peanuts so people with nut allergies should be aware. People without nut allergies should be delighted.
With a history of making premium products for leading chefs, Gelista takes great effort to identify the very best suppliers of ingredients. This has certainly been the case again with the Peanut Butter with Chocolate Swirl product.
“We have experienced a period of extraordinary growth over the past 12 months”, says Gelista founder Peter Cox. “The growth from the restaurant and scooping cabinet side of our business is a clear indicator of the quality of our product. That’s in part as a result of our artisan gelato crafting techniques but, very significantly, is also the result of using some exceptional ingredients.”
Peter Cox chooses the best peanuts the Kingaroy growing region offers, making a smooth and creamy buttered peanut gelato. Combining this with his fantastic chocolate swirl, this is a match made in heaven!
The introduction of the Peanut Butter with Chocolate Swirl into the 570mL consumer jar family follows very strong performance of this flavour in food service and scoop in cabinet accounts across the country. This was also the best-selling flavour at the Royal Adelaide show in September.
“We are still a 100% Australian family owned business”, says Peter Cox. “That means I don’t have to make any compromises on quality. One of the reasons we set up this business was because we just love indulging our customers. When they tell us that they love a product as much as this one, it really makes the decision to launch it in the supermarkets easy.”
Gelista was founded by Peter Cox and his wife Kathy in 2009. In 2015, Gelista was the first company to pack artisan gelato in the consumer jar format for sale in the supermarket. Their Blood Orange and Dark Chocolate remains the only sherbet made in commercial quantities in the ice-cream and gelato market in Australia. To this day, Peter and his team focus on quality as a key and discernible differentiator.
