Premium ice-cream and gelato manufacturer Gelista has released a stunning new video explaining the essence of their luxury brand and the reasons for its success.
The video runs for 4 minutes 30 seconds in which Peter Cox, founder of Gelista Premium Gelati, tells the story of starting a company to make the best premium gelato and ice-cream that he could. The result was the Gelista brand.
The video explores the quest of the business to create a taste and texture that’s “uniquely Gelista” and demonstrates how this is achieved through using ingredients with Terroir (a sense of place and quality that is discernibly different) and through their hand crafting techniques.
Gelista has had a strong position in the food service business supplying premium ice-cream, gelati and dairy dessert to leading chefs. The video explores this using testimonials and showing how this drives the Gelista commitment to innovation and passion to indulge the customer.
“This is an integral part of who we are”, says Peter Cox, founder and managing director of Gelista. “Leading chefs need a premium base product that they can use as a key ingredient in their latest dessert creation. They trust our expertise to give them something of an exceptional quality that would take them hours longer than they have to do the same for themselves. As I say in the video, they trust us with their reputations – we understand that and we don’t let them down.”
The video also features the 570ml Gelista Jar range which is the premium range of take-home range available through quality food focused independent supermarkets and has been the focus of the successful push into interstate markets.
The film resulted from a major strategic project that Gelista undertook with marketing consulting firm Literally Brilliant (www.literallybrilliant.com.au). The process involved looking at the essence of the business and where it was heading. It looked at what its customers were saying about it and reconciled it to its strategic focus. As a result, Gelista discovered an inconsistency in how it presented itself to consumers when compared to its well established reputation in the food service market.
“The strategic process allowed us to be confident in our product and in the consumer”, says Peter Cox. “We now believe that there are people out there who value premium quality and they are our customers. The process allowed us to be clear about our brand story and the video is a way for us to tell that story with great clarity”.
The video has been beautifully filmed and produced with high production values by TAV Productions (www.tav.com.au).
“Once we had worked with Literally Brilliant to develop what we wanted to say, they introduced us to TAV Productions”, says Peter Cox. “They did a brilliant job turning our script into something we thought perfectly reflected what we were trying to say”.
